Set: Say a common idiom like "It's raining cats and dogs" and then explain what an idiom is.
Process: 1. Listen to an explanation of what an idiom is
2. watch YouTube videos about idioms
3. complete worksheets
4. share with the class

Objective: Chemical changes and reactions
Materials: YouTube video, promethean board, baloon, baking soda, vinegar, worksheets
Set: explain what chemical changes and reactions are, and give examples of things they see in everyday life.
Process: 1. listen to what a chemical change is and how to recognize one.
2. read along in the book
3. do an expieremnet with viegar and baking soda
4. watch video and fill out worksheet

Set: say a common use of alliteration like "Peter Piper picks a peck of pickled peppers"
Process: 1.listen to the definition of poetry
2.look and identify examples of alliteration in poetry
3. write their own alliteration on a worsheet
4. work in groups to crerate a story using alliteration
5. share with the class

2. Can you identify alliteration when you see it?
3.Can you write your own examples of alliteration?

Closure: Allow them to read what they wrote to the class and make corrections as needed.
